This is the silent story of struggle and pain of people living in the hinterlands of Bihar. If you can feel the pain of living in darkness for the rest of life, especially in old age, you will not remain a silent spectator to their suffering. To help people in need, we must first understand what they need.
In rural Bihar, access to eye-health facilities is limited and blindness is prevalent. The original programme page states that more than 1.8 million people in Bihar are blind and that 80% of these cases are avoidable, meaning they are treatable or preventable. Poverty and lack of eye-care services leave many people needlessly blind.
Come forward and support the community by sponsoring a free eye check-up camp in an underserved area of Bihar.
Who can sponsor?
A camp made possible together
Individuals, businesses, community groups and local organisations can help bring screening closer to people who need it.
Provide spectacles
An optional INR 12,500 contribution can sponsor 25 pairs of spectacles for free distribution to patients with refractive errors.
Sponsor surgery
You may also contribute an amount towards free surgery for one or more patients in need.

Sponsor's role
Help organise the camp locally
Sponsors help arrange a suitable camp site, preferably a school or community centre, with basic facilities such as electricity, water and furniture. They also support local publicity and help gather patients.
The sponsor arranges lodging and food for the medical team and provides local logistics and assistance for the Outreach Coordinator (ORC) team.
