Sri Sai Lions Netralaya is a charitable, non-profit, non-commercial exclusive eye hospital. The Organisation is 15 year-old. It provides state-of-art Ophthalmic care at affordable cost to paying patients and at to NO COST to indigent patients. More than 1.2 million beneficiaries have been benefited by SSLN over the years out of which about 80% were done totally free of cost on indigent patients.

SSLN is a fine example of a 'self-sustaining' charitable organisation. Revenue expenditure is met mostly by collection from paying patients. Much of the capital expenditure for 'New Projects' come from the community and hence the institution may be described as 'An institution by the Community, for the Community'.

The Greatest tribute we have received was from eminent Lion Leader and Past International Director of Lions Club International, Lion A.P Singh. He remarked, "Sri Sai Lions Netralaya is the fastest growing and best run charitable Lions Eye Hospital in eastern India." PID Ln. Bishnu Bajoria, PID Ln. Sangeeta Jatia and Dr. Divyesh Shah, Technical Advisor (Sight First) MD-322, Lions Clubs International have also recognised our efforts and highlighted our achievement in the National Sight First Meeting of LCI.

What we mean by Free Ophthalmic Surgeries on Indigent Patients?

Our Outreach Camp Team regularly conduct FREE EYE SCREENING CAMPS in the remote areas to bring much needed eye care to the door- steps of those who have no access to these services.

Patients identified as indigent and requiring surgical intervention are provided free transportation to and from the hospital. Not only the Cataract/other major surgeries are performed without cost, but patients are also served free meals and given free medicines. Quality optics too are provided to them free of cost.
